This collection of songs was written during the Covid pandemic. The first song written for this album was “This Too Shall Pass”. I remember that I was driving through Lake City, MN and listening to the radio and I became overwhelmed with fear and anxiety as the news painted a picture of a potentially very grim future for the world. I pulled over to look out at Lake Pepin and there was a layer of fog and clouds that blocked much of the view. I said to myself, this too shall pass and felt compelled to write this song and album as a beacon of hope for all of us.
