This album has 14 original finger style acoustic guitar songs. The songs on this album were inspired after several trips to Hawaii with my family. I fell in love with the style of guitar playing that we would hear on our visits. I learned that many of the songs we heard were recorded in an open tuning referred to as “Taro Patch” tuning. The strings on the guitar are tuned to : D G D G B D (from lowest to highest). There are many different open tunings but I found that I really enjoyed writing in the “Taro Patch” tuning. It was fun for me to expand my usual piano albums to include this guitar style into the mix. Enjoy!
